- Abstract
The study employed Many-Facets Rasch Model (MFRM) to validate Overseas Students’ Evaluation of Teaching. 5 teachers and 43 foreign university students were involved in the study and five categories of the rating scale were employed to score the teachers’ teaching quality of TCSL (Teaching Chinese as a Second Language). Results show that the rating scale was able to distinguish between different levels of teaching quality, there were significant differences in the teachers’ teaching quality of TCSL (Teaching Chinese as a Second Language), and that raters used the scale in a consistent and consensus way.
