Abstract

It is an era of technology and information nowadays. As a kind of new teaching method based on new technology, Mobile teaching begins to gain more and more attention. And it has been widely used in English teaching practices. In this paper, the author discusses the characteristic of English mobile teaching and analyses how can we promote college English teaching and learning with the help of it. With the development and the changes in recent years, the requirement of higher talents cultivation has been improved. With the deepening of globalization in the society now, cross-cultural communication and communication skills for college graduates are particularly important. This also put forward higher requirements to the university foreign language teaching, especially English teaching. In addition to the requirements of college English teaching with the creative use of traditional means of education, making full use of class time, it is also as important for the educators to provide more extensive education services to students. As a kind of new teaching means based on new technology, mobile teaching can satisfy the English teaching in a considerable extent to expand learners vision. It also provide a more effective way for college English teaching reform in colleges and universities of China.
