- Abstract
Northern Guangdong’s wild hot spring resources are abundant yet underdeveloped. Balancing consumption-driven demand stimulation with ecological-cultural preservation of these thermal springs constitutes the core challenge of this study. Using Shixing County in Shaoguan as a case study, we conduct field research and in-depth interviews to analyze current development challenges. Proposing solutions across three dimensions—resource conservation, market transformation, and cultural value enhancement—we aim to provide theoretical references for achieving coordinated development between ecological protection and the tourism economy.
