Proceedings of the 2023 8th International Conference on Engineering Management (ICEM 2023)
Conference Name: Proceedings of the 2023 8th International Conference on Engineering Management (ICEM 2023)
Date: 8-10 September 2023
Location: Wuhan, China (Hybrid)
Website: http://iconfem.org This volume contains a unique collection of papers collected at 2023 8th International Conference on Engineering Management (ICEM 2023), which took place in Wuhan, China, from September 8 to 10, 2023 (hybrid conference). Each paper recognizes the seminal contributions to several kinds of engineering management made by every author and acknowledges their impact on their own researches. All the scientific participants, many of whom were students, had many fruitful discussions and exchanges that contributed to the success of the conference. Participants from about 10 countries made the conference truly international in scope. There were four plenary keynote speeches by renowned professors covering different topics of the conference theme: Prof. Qing Ding (Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China) talked on Financial Hedging Policy for Risk-Averse Supply Chain Problem, Prof. Longkai Wu (Central China Normal University, China) on Leverage Cutting-edge Educational Technology in Leading the Modernization of Education, Assoc. Prof. Lim Chee Leong (Taylor’s University, Malaysia) on Inspiring Learning Innovations Through Artificial Intelligence (AI) Assisted Learning & Extended Reality (XR) Immersion, and Assoc. Prof. Teh Sin Yin (Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia) on Innovative Development of New Era Logistics: Digital Technologies. The speakers gave very illuminating speeches that drew many people’s full attention. These speeches, held on Saturday morning, were very accessible to the general audience. In addition, there were 12 oral reports on ongoing current research. These presentations cover the full range of the conference topics, which include Big Data Management and Application, Industrial Engineering and Management, Information Engineering and Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, etc. All in all, the 8th International Conference on Engineering Management held in Wuhan was very successful. The plenary speeches and the progress and oral reports bridged the gap between different fields related to several kinds of engineering management, making it possible for non-experts in a given area to gain insight into new areas. Also, included among the speakers were several young scientists, who brought new perspectives to their fields. We would like to acknowledge the authors of the papers collected in this present volume, the members of the Technical Program Committee and Local Organizing Chairs for their guidance and support, and the referees for their generous and hard efforts. Our thanks also goes to the editors and other staff of Atlantis Press, for their time and kindness in waiting for the final submission of the papers. Given the rapidity with which science is advancing in all the areas covered by ICEM, we expect that these future series conferences of ICEM will be as stimulating as this most recent one was, as indicated by the contributions presented in this Proceedings volume.
