- Abstract
The “June Gods Fair” in Guide County, Qinghai Province is a large folk religious activity carried out based on the beliefs of Gods Wenchang and Erlang in Amdo area. The content includes not only religious sacrifices, dancing with gods and so on but also contains a large number of folk activities with local characteristics, which enriched the cultural life of local people. The polytheism displayed in the gods fair has many characteristics such as Chinese Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism and Taoism. This paper briefly analyzes the phenomenon of polytheism in the gods fair by making a field visit on the form and content of the June Gods Fair.
