- Abstract
This paper discusses on the necessity of functional changes of Yao nationality clothing in northern Guangdong province based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs Theory in psychology. The research methods of literature review and field investigation were used to carry out in the study, and finally proposed these functional changes via sorting out and analyzing the relevant characteristics from a perspective of development of Yao's clothing. The results provide a unique view for the Yao’s clothing related research in northern Guangdong as reference.
