Abstract

The energy innovation has brought about an exponential increase of population each time, meanwhile, population growth brings greater energy demand. Hence how to maintain a balanced relation between energy production-consumption and population is of great importance. This paper highlights the relations between China's energy development and population growth, after investigating and analyzing the direct relation between energy development and population growth and the indirect effects of the economy on population and energy, concluding that both the relations of promotion and restriction exist between energy and population. And offer reasonable proposals from aspects of international energy cooperation, industrial structure optimization, exploitation and utilization of energy resource and population structure optimization.
