- Abstract
The purpose of this article is to consider the features of the manifestation of confidence of the population living in the Altai Territory to informal groups. Our research data was collected by means of a sociological study conducted in the Altai Territory in 2019 among the population aged 15 to 75 years (n = 400). We examined the confidence level with respect to four informal groups, membership in which implied acquaintance and personal experience of communication, namely: work colleagues, friends, close acquaintances, neighbors, and close relatives. As the study clearly demonstrates, the level of confidence in informal groups is largely determined by the status and ideological positions. The general social situation will determine the amount of available resources of the generalized confidence in the regional society.
