Proceedings of the International Conference on the Development of Education in Russia and the CIS Member States (ICEDER 2018)
It is our great pleasure to welcome each and everyone at the International Conference on the Development of Education in Russia and the CIS Member States (ICEDER 2018), taking place on November 8 and 9, 2018 at the Institute of Education Management of the Russian Academy of Education in Moscow, Russia. Scientific and pedagogical workers of the higher school, doctoral, and graduate students were invited to participate in the conference.
The scientific conference is a platform for discussing current trends in the development of education in Russia and, additionally, in the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). In particular, the conference is focusing on the processes of informatization of education in the regions of Russia and abroad and the use of information and communication technologies not only in the learning process at all stages of the educational process but also in the management of educational institutions. In addition, within the framework of the conference, participants have a chance to discuss modern technologies and new approaches to management in the field of general, vocational, and additional education in Russia and abroad, particularly in the CIS countries, building on similarities in educational systems.
Due to the increasing complexity of systems for collecting, processing, storing, and distributing information about educational systems or their individual elements, the conference provides the best meeting opportunity for participants to discuss the problems and best practices of monitoring research in education and the development of the educational space in the CIS countries.
A total of 275 application were received from almost all countries of the Commonwealth of the Independent States. We carefully reviewed all of them and invited 70 participants to join us in Moscow, Russia. Additionally, we accepted a total of 38 best papers to be published in our conference proceedings. All the papers accepted for publication correspond to the conference profile and reflect theoretical and empirical results of independent research projects covering Russia and the rest of the Commonwealth of the Independent States. At least two experts rigorously reviewed each papers, and the team of editors carefully compiled them into one volume. We hope that the papers included in this proceedings will provide new insights and ideas for the readers and other researchers interested in studying the development of education in Russia and the CIS member states.
