A very warm welcome to all of you to the 6th International Conference on Economics, Business, and Economic Education Science (ICE-BEES-2024), hosted by the Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Negeri Semarang which was conducted from 12 to 13 June 2024. It is truly an honour and a privilege to have such a diverse and esteemed gathering of scholars, practitioners, and enthusiasts. Our theme for this year’s conference, “Highlighting the Green Economics Contribution to Enhance Sustainability and Promote Eco-Living,” is both timely and essential. As we stand at a critical juncture in our global efforts to combat climate change, promote sustainable development, and ensure a healthy planet for future generations, the insights and innovations we share here will be pivotal. The Faculty of Economics and Business at Universitas Negeri Semarang has long been committed to advancing knowledge and fostering dialogue on pressing economic and social issues. This conference exemplifies our dedication to addressing one of the most urgent challenges of our time: integrating green economics into mainstream economic practices to foster sustainability and eco-friendly living. Throughout this conference, we will explore a wide array of topics, from sustainable business practices and green finance to environmental policy and eco-innovation. Our speakers and panellists bring a wealth of knowledge and experience that will undoubtedly inspire and challenge us to think critically and creatively about how we can contribute to a more sustainable world. We are particularly excited about the collaborative opportunities this conference presents. The interdisciplinary nature of green economics requires us to break down silos and work together across various fields and sectors. By sharing our research, experiences, and perspectives, we can develop holistic solutions that address the complex and interconnected issues of sustainability. As we embark on these two days of intensive discussions, networking, and knowledge-sharing, we encourage each of you to engage actively, ask questions, and build connections. Let us use this platform not only to highlight the contributions of green economics but also to inspire actionable change in our communities, institutions, and industries.
