Abstract

Accessibility of education and the quality of education Tangerang City remains a problem. The main problems (strategic issued) faced include the quality of education services is not optimal, the competence of educators and education personnel is not optimal, the quality and competence of graduates is not optimal, and the provision of educational infrastructure is not optimal. Therefore, strategic efforts are needed to overcome these problems. The research methodology used is descriptive qualitative approach and data collection techniques are carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study show that the Tangerang City Education Office has shown performance that leads to overcoming the problems of education accessibility and quality of education. The evidence is based on research results and findings in the field as follows: (1) Tangerang City Education Office intervened in subsidizing education costs through the Education Operational Assistance Program and the Smart Tangerang Program to increase school participation rates and minimize dropout rates. (2) The Education Office for 2021 will receive a Budget allocation of Rp. 1,176,793,132,835. Based on the results of performance achievements both physically and financially, the results of measuring the achievement of targets that have been carried out from various activities, which compare between plans, achievement of activities and realization of targets, based on indicators that have been set in general, the performance of the Tangerang City Education Office has been in accordance with the predetermined plan.
