- Abstract
The new mode of the postgraduate theoretical course teaching is discussed based on the seminar-based course reform and course practice in the paper. With seminar-based teaching course reform of the Solid Geophysics II, the postgraduate student actively participates in the theoretical course study and organically integrates the teacher’s research-based teaching. The seminar-based course teaching includes several interconnected teaching steps, teacher course teaching, seminar subject setting and problem presetting. The aim of the seminar-based teaching reform is to inspire the student’s study interest of the expertise, develop the student’s ability with theoretical knowledge to solve the practical problems and enhance the student’s innovation consciousness and the innovation potential. The teaching practice shows that the seminar-based teaching is a good means for the postgraduate theoretical course teaching, and the teaching effect is much better than the solely teacher’s teaching.
