- Abstract
Synthesis of polycarbonate diols from diphenyl carbonate and 1,4-butyl diol has been demonstrated in the presence of metal acetate catalysts. Alkali metal acetate and alkaline earth metal acetate catalysts showed much higher catalytic activity, of them, lithium acetate was the most active. And the catalytic mechanism was discussed.
