By examining its historical and cultural significance, the research underscores Fan Zhongyan’s contributions as a statesman and literary scholar. Using a multidisciplinary approach, it combines textual analysis, translation critique, and cross-cultural reception studies to evaluate translations and interpretations of “Yueyang Tower” across different cultures. Key findings highlight the challenges and strategies in translating the essay’s rich stylistic and thematic elements and the impact on the international perception of Chinese literature.
