- Abstract
[Purposes] To explore the correlation between mRNA expression of NOB1 gene in tissues from ovarian cancer, normal ovary, benign ovarian tumor. [Methods] 50 samples of ovarian cancer as the experimental group, 20 samples of normal ovarian tissues and 50 samples of benign ovarian tumor as control groups. Expression of NOB1 gene was evaluated by RT-PCR. [Results]The mRNA Expression of NOB1 gene in ovary cancer tissues was significantly higher than that in normal ovarian tissues (P<0.01), while there was no significant difference between normal ovary and innocent ovary. High level of NOB1 mRNA expression was correlated to tumor size and degree of cell differentiation (P<0.05), but not significantly correlated to pathology type, pathological stage of operation and age (P>0.05). [Conclusions]Compared to normal ovary and benign ovarian tumori, mRNA expression of NOB1 gene was higher in ovarian cancer which indicates that mRNA expression level of NOB1 gene in ovary may be correlated to the occurrence and development of ovarian cancer.
