Simulation Results to Assess Effectiveness of Seals Made of Polyurethane for Hydraulic Drives of Machines

- Abstract
For optimization of geometrical parameters of the seal of movable joints of machines, a corresponding mathematical model is developed. For the computer implementation of the model, «Programme for simulation of piston seal" in Object Pascal in integrated programming environment Borland Delphi 7 is developed. To verify the adequacy of the estimated model, we conducted computer experiments on the bending of the sealing ring. Results of the analysis show that using new DCS design provides guaranteed increased efficiency of hydraulic drives of machines by reducing fluid leakage and response time of HC actuation, as well as improving the efficiency of hydraulic drives, especially in the conditions of operation of machines at lower temperatures of environment in spring and autumn periods.
