Today it was officially announced that Atlantis Press has joined the Coalition for Responsible Sharing, a coalition of publishers which is taking formal steps to remedy the illicit dissemination of millions of copyrighted articles on ResearchGate (and other scholarly collaboration networks where applicable).

Atlantis Press today became a signatory of the Transparency and Openness Promotion (TOP) Guidelines issued by the Center for Open Science (COS). The TOP Guidelines are a community-driven and evolving effort, changing to meet the needs of the community while pursuing the most transparent practices.

As of the end of May, Atlantis Press has become a supporting organizational member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP). SSP is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1978 and formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publishing community through networking, information dissemination and facilitation of new developments in the field.

Atlantis Press is now an endorsing organization of the STM Association’s Voluntary Principles for Article Sharing on Scholarly Collaboration Networks. These principles aim to allow publishers and scholarly collaboration networks (SCNs) to work together to facilitate sharing, which benefits researchers, institutions, and society as a whole.
