Atlantis Press Now a Supporting Organizational Member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP)

May 31st, 2018

As of the end of May, Atlantis Press has become a supporting organizational member of the Society for Scholarly Publishing (SSP). SSP is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1978 and formed to promote and advance communication among all sectors of the scholarly publishing community through networking, information dissemination and facilitation of new developments in the field. SSP members represent all aspects of scholarly publishing – including publishers, printers, e-products developers, technical service providers, librarians and Editors – and come from a wide range of large and small commercial and non-profit organizations.

The SSP’s mission statement is to advance scholarly publishing and communication, and the professional development of its members, through education, collaboration and networking. The society is recognized by its members and the global publishing community as the first place to turn for information and dialogue on current and emerging issues in scholarly communication. As such, the SSP membership provides Atlantis Press with a vast resource of information, education and networking opportunities for its publishing staff.
