Abstract

Educational facilities and infrastructure are used to facilitate students’ understanding of the subject matter delivered by using appropriate educational facilities and infrastructure in teaching and learning programs to be more effective and efficient. Research conducted at Vocational High School 5 Bandung Competence Expertise Design Modeling and Information Building. The purpose of this study is to determine the availability, completeness, and condition of educational facilities and infrastructure and also to find out if the existing facilities and infrastructures already compatible the specified standards. The standard used is standards of Education Ministry Decree No. 40 of 2008 and architectural standards taken from several literatures. The research method is a descriptive evaluative method and uses a qualitative approach. From the observation it was found that the existing educational infrastructure is almost completely in accordance with the established standards, while in educational facilities there are still some facilities that have not met such as lack of educational equipment, educational media, other equipment and incompatible furniture with architectural standards.
