- Abstract
This article deals with theoretical and applied problems of structural semasiology. The problems are being discussed in modern linguistics. The authors note that the results of modern studies in the seme semasiology can help to increase the accuracy and objectivity of fixing the meanings of words and their semantic difference, these results are very significant and important in describing the modern linguistic consciousness. The article also shows that the problems to be solved by seme semasiology are directly related to the need for the development of a typology of semantic components which are to be clear for an average native speaker as well as for the development of metalanguage to describe the semantic components. The metalanguage is necessary to unificate in the interpretation of meaning for users in the lexicographical practice.
