Abstract

This study employed a qualitative research method and in-depth interviews research design to examine the academic experience of 25 Chinese undergraduates in the University of Washington. The study investigated five obstacles (language barrier, independence, critical thinking, plagiarism and time management) that influenced Chinese students to perceive their academic well-being on campus of American Universities. Recommendations for American professors and Chinese international undergraduates are discussed.
