Abstract

We live in a time of great dependence on increasingly networked information and communication technologies, which besides numerous advantages, also have certain negative aspects. The paper gives a brief description and importance of critical information infrastructures and their vulnerabilities and protection. In the final part of the work, strategies for risk management in the critical information infrastructures (information systems) are proposed in order to bring the risk to a level that is acceptable to the organization.
