It is with great pleasure that I present the Proceedings of the Palembang Tourism Forum (PTF) Volume II, 2025, organized by the Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism, Indonesia, on June 17, 2025. This academic forum serves as a meaningful platform for scholars, practitioners, and policymakers to share insights, innovations, and research findings in the field of sustainable tourism, management, economic, MICE and event management, and hospitality.

Following the success of the inaugural PTF held in 2021, this second edition marks another milestone in our continuous effort to strengthen academic collaboration and knowledge exchange on a global scale. We are honored to welcome participants from six countries, whose contributions have enriched the diversity of perspectives and discussions throughout this year’s forum.

The theme “Climate Action and Social Transformation from Palembang to the World” reflects our collective commitment to addressing the pressing challenges of climate change and fostering inclusive social development through responsible tourism practices. The twelve research papers included in this proceeding represent a wide range of studies and innovative approaches that highlight the intersection between environmental sustainability, community empowerment, and the tourism industry.

On behalf of the Palembang Polytechnic of Tourism, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation to all contributors, reviewers, organizing committees, and partners who have made this event possible. Your dedication and collaboration have been instrumental in ensuring the success of the Palembang Tourism Forum 2025.

It is my hope that this publication will inspire further research, strengthen international cooperation, and encourage collective action toward a more sustainable and resilient global tourism industry.
