- Abstract
With the advancement of digital and intelligent transformation, the working environment of field engineers is increasingly characterized by diverse UI scenarios. Using CNKI and WoS literature as data sources and VOSviewer for keyword analysis, this study reveals a disconnection between China’s policy-driven field engineer training and UI design competencies. Subsequently, it examines the capability requirements for field engineers in diverse UI scenarios from three perspectives: talent positioning, design dimensions, and design processes. Finally, a competency framework for field engineers, focused on UI design roles, is constructed across five layers: fundamental skills, core integration, innovative application, multi-dimensional collaboration, and advanced thinking. This framework aims to provide theoretical reference and practical guidance for talent development in modern industries.
