- Abstract
This paper compares the performance of a condenser during the period between August and December 2018 to that during the commissioning period. It belongs to the Steam Power Plant (PLTU) I in Central Kalimantan. The comparisons are carried out in terms of the load, LMTD, temperature efficiency, capacity ratio, and effective heat transfer coefficient. The overall results suggest that time evidently takes its toll on the performance as the Ueff decreased from 1980 W/m2K during the commissioning to 1319,4 W/m2K in December 2018. Fouling is the main reason for this.
