Abstract

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a form of first aid for individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. Speed and accuracy in performing CPR is crucial to minimize the brain and the heart damage due to lack of oxygen and increase the patient's chances of survival. However, the level of understanding and skills of the general public in performing CPR is still very limited. This highlights the importance of community-wide CPR education and training. Athletes and staff at ASIFA are often at risk for these conditions so it is important to improve their competency in first aid, particularly in the management of cardiac arrest. The community service activity held at Aji Santoso International Footbal Academy (ASIFA), which lasted for 2 h, aimed to increase awareness and first aid skills, especially CPR among ASIFA athletes and staff through structured training and evaluation of its impact on participant competence. The method of implementing this community service consists of direct observation, providing education and counseling, and questionnaire quantitative data on the level of CPR knowledge. It is hoped that with this activity the competence of ASIFA athletes and staff towards first aid in cardiac arrest cases can increase and get better.
