The 7th International Seminar of Language, Art and Literature Education (7th ISLALE 2025) was hosted by the Faculty of Languages and Arts, Universitas Negeri Medan on September 24, 2025.

Based on technological developments in English language learning, the Faculty of Language and Arts is hosting the 7th International Seminar of Language, Art and Literature Education (ISLALE 2025) with the theme "Reimagining Languages and Arts Education in the Digital Space for a Future of Innovation, Creativity, and Personalised Learning Experiences." This conference focuses on discussions about the challenges and trends in English teaching throughout history, currently, and in the future. Keynote speakers include Prof. Dr. Syawal Gultom, M.Pd. from the Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia, Prof. Utami Widiati, M.A., Ph.D from Universitas Negeri Malang, who is also the President of Teaching of English as a Foreign Language in Indonesia (TEFLIN), and Prof. Eku Wand from Eku Interactive, Germany. Additionally, we have invited competent speakers such as Billiana Voutchkova, Violinist, from Germany, Annette Turney, M.Ed. (TESOL), M.Ed., M.Sc. from Australian Catholic University, Australia, and Dr. Juliana Shak from Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei Darussalam.

This conference provides a platform for experts, researchers, and practitioners to discuss global challenges and trends in English teaching. Selected articles presented will also be published in international proceedings. This conference has become a meaningful academic forum for scholarly exchange and collaboration, bringing together academics, researchers, practitioners, and students from across Indonesia and around the globe. This theme reflects our collective commitment to rethinking language, arts, and literature education by embracing digital innovation, intercultural dialogue, and creative pedagogies that are relevant to the challenges and opportunities of our time. This international conference is expected to provide an important opportunity for participants to exchange knowledge, present their research findings, and explore practical solutions to contemporary educational challenges.
