- Abstract
From a dialogue perspective in literary theory, this article analyzes the relationship between ancient and modern, East and West, and material and spiritual reflected in the works of Hao Liang. It first introduces the dialogue theory proposed by literary theorist Mikhail Bakhtin, and analyzes Hao Liang’s works from three aspects: the subjects in his paintings, text and image, and the ideas and concepts. The study aims to explore pictoriality and contemporaneity in his works.
