Abstract

Air cargo has always occupied a unique position in the commodity transportation industry due to its advantages such as speed and efficiency. And cross-border e-commerce is an inevitable trend for the e-commerce development under the global economic development. This new mode of trade develops rapidly, which brings new economic growth to the air cargo industry. First, by reviewing the related references of domestic and foreign scholars, this paper analyzes the relationship between cross-border e-commerce and air cargo market in ideal state. Second, by establishing VAR model, the paper takes an empirical analysis of the relationship between cross-border e-commerce and air cargo development in the country and Zhengzhou city. The results show that there is an uncoordinated development in cross-border e-commerce and air cargo, including Zhengzhou city, which is one of the leading cross-border e-commerce pilot cities in China. Finally, it is expected to provide the strategy for development of cross-border e-commerce of Zhengzhou to promote the coordinated development of cross-border e-commerce and air cargo.
