Abstract

Alumni donation is a topic that has attracted much attention. Because of the public nature of Chinese universities, the public lacks understanding of University donation, and the institutional mechanism of alumni donation is not perfect, which leads to unsatisfactory results of alumni donation. With the increasing demand of funds for the connotative development of higher education in China, the diversification of educational funding sources becomes inevitable, and the role of alumni donation is highlighted. Based on the research of alumni donation of local universities, this study explored the endogenous motivation of alumni donation through literature research, questionnaires and in-depth interviews, and provided effective countermeasures for improving alumni donation of local universities.
