- Abstract
This study aims to analyze quality control in the white tea production process at PPTK Gambung using Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). The methods used include field observation, interviews, and production data analysis using check sheets, Pareto diagrams, control charts (P-charts), fishbone diagrams, and FMEA tables. The results showed that the number of defective products increased during the rainy season, with 60% of defects being in shape and 40% in color. SPC analysis indicated instability in the production process, while FMEA identified manual drying and sorting as the most critical failure points with high RPN values. These findings indicate that process irregularities and lack of standardization contribute to quality decline. Therefore, improvements in drying control and operator training are essential to sustainably increase the proportion of Grade A products.
