Conference: Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Law Reform (INCLAR 2025)
Date: 21-23 July 2025
Location: Malang, Indonesia (Offline)
Website: https://inclar.umm.ac.id/ Welcome to the 6th International Conference on Law Reform, held by the Faculty of Law at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. This International Conference was held on 21-23 July 2025, Malang, East Java, Indonesia. The 6th International Conference of Law Reform presents the theme Law, Conflict, and Humanity: Toward Sustainable Justice and Resilient Societies in response to the increasingly complex global challenges posed by ongoing armed conflicts around the world. These conflicts, such as the wars between Israel and Palestine and Russia and Ukraine, are not only threatening political and economic stability but are also causing severe humanitarian impacts. The theme aims to explore the role of law in maintaining peace, protecting human rights, and fostering sustainable justice in the face of growing global tensions and violence. The recent escalation of violence has further exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region, leading to thousands of casualties and displaced persons. This situation challenges the effectiveness of international law in addressing human rights violations and war crimes that continue amid high international political tensions. The articles compiled from the activities of this conference will be published in Atlantis Proceedings. Special thanks to our beloved Keynote Speaker, Laurentius Amrih Jinangkung, S.H., LL.M. (Directorate General of Legal Affairs and International Treaties of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia) and Speakers: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sonny Zulhuda (Deputy Legal Adviser, Office of The Legal Adviser IIUM), Dr. Muneerah Razak (University of St Andrews, Scotland), Mr. Johan Guillaume (International Committe of The Road Cross/ ICRC), Prof. Hilaire Tegnan (William and Mary Law School, United States), Tinuk Dwi Cahyani, S.H., S.H.I., M.Hum., Ph.D., (Lecture, Faculty of Law, University of Muhammadiyah Malang & Head of Aisyiyah Legal Aid Institute in Malang City).
