- Abstract
Trademarks are one of the intellectual property rights regimes that influence the selling value and reputation of MSME creative economy products. The study in this article is related to the potential of creative economy products in the craft sector that are pursued by micro, small, and medium enterprises in Bangkalan Regency but still need to be based on intellectual property rights. Through the legislative approach, comparative studies and factual approaches, it was found that there were obstacles or obstacles in trademark registration due to the limited subsidy budget from the Regional Government and the lack of awareness of business actors regarding the understanding and importance of brand protection for MSME products so that the recommendations from the research results require the concept of utilizing intellectual property rights protection through collective mark (read: co-branding) through the creation of regional regulations that can frame the protection of creative economy products in the craft sector so that it continuously improves branding for creative economy products typical of the Bangkalan region in line with the Regional Government's vision to increase tourism visits for the Bangkalan area.
