Abstract

Research on remediation of chromium and cadmium metal contaminated soil using compost has been carried out. Added compost was 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% w/w. The study was conducted for 14 days and observed a decrease in the concentration of heavy metals in the soil. Measurement of heavy metal concentrations using AAS Perkin Elmer instrument. Based on the results of the analysis, the highest chromium decrease was 85.611% and the highest cadmium was 53.937% in the use of 25% compost.
