Abstract

The Independent Learning Campus Program (MBKM) is part of the Independent Learning policy by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This program provides opportunities for students to hone their abilities according to their talents and interests, by going directly into the world of work as a preparation for their future careers. One of them is a professional internship program that is equivalent to the conversion of 20 credits of courses, but currently the communication science study program does not have a course for the conversion of the MBKM internship. The purpose of the research on the Development of MBKM Professional Internship Conversion Courses for the Communication Science Program, State University of Surabaya is to develop suitable courses equivalent to 20 credits. This research uses a qualitative approach with the FGD method with students and focus group discussions with the curriculum team of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, then observations from documents about the policy. The results of this study obtained five conversion courses equivalent to 20 credits in the field of communication and have also been compiled RPS based on Outcome Based Education (OBE).
