The International Conference on Social Studies, Globalization and Technology (ICSSGT 2019) with the main theme of: Preparing Student and Scholars toward Knowledge Worker in Challenging Industrial Revolution 4.0, Universitas Negeri Padang, West Sumatera, Indonesia. It is an honor to be able to welcome all the distinguished guests and participants from fellow Indonesian and Asian scholars and students. The ICSSGT main objective is to be able to formulate theories and practices for policy-makers and the public, thus making Social Studies more relevant and more able to contribute in academic work. Hopefully this Conference will be the first of a series of conference and discussions for a more relevant and significant citizenship in Indonesia and Asia in the long term.
