Abstract

The objective of the case study research is to prove of the clinical symptoms and necropsy observation of Pony native horse in Indonesia suspected to Glanders or Malleus disease. The case studied was carried out in Sidoarjo and Malang district of East Java. Three cased were found in Malang district, and one cased in Sidoarjo district. All horse patients showed the same clinical symptoms: fever about 41-42øC, sluggish face, often bowed his head, anorexia, totter walk, colic, couch with nasal discharge. Based on macroscopic pathological anatomy showed any formation of nodular lesions in lungs, any ulceration of mucous membranes in the upper respiratory tract, darker and enlarger size of gastro intestinal tract, any ptechiae on the mucous of intestine and colon, and horse suddenly death in a few days. It be assumption that any septicemia and colic were accelerate the horse were death.
