Abstract

The paper explains the McDonaldization as a special type of rationality on the Modern and Postmodern era. According to the literature review, the theoretical basis for understanding the phenomenon of McDonaldization is provided. The study shows how this type of rationality is functioning in the field of higher education. The features of pervasion the McDonaldization elements into the public space of Russia and China are also considered.
