- Abstract
As a form of cultural innovation, the design of folk art cultural and creative products plays a significant role in promoting the integration of traditional culture with modern design. However, the design of folk art cultural and creative products has not yet formed a systematic and operable design framework. Existing designs often rely on simple replicas of traditional art forms, lacking a deep connection with modern demands and the consumption psychology of younger demographics. Additionally, there are certain deficiencies in the innovation and cultural aspects of the products. Therefore, this paper proposes a series of design strategies for folk art cultural and creative products, aiming to achieve the integration of traditional culture with modern aesthetics and enhance the market competitiveness of these products. Specifically, this paper explores four key strategies: “Based on Inheritance, Promoting Chinese Aesthetics,” “User-Centered, Focusing on the Young Demographic,” “Innovation-Driven, Keeping Pace with the Times,” and “Development-Oriented, Expanding Application Scenarios.” These strategies outline the practical paths for designing folk art cultural and creative products. Furthermore, combining practical design principles such as cultural relevance, human-centered design, innovation, and functionality, this paper provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the design of folk art cultural and creative products. It promotes the organic integration of culture and the market, with the aim of offering valuable references for future developments in this field.
