- Abstract
With the rapid development of biotechnology and information technology, bioinformatics data has experienced exponential growth, creating pressing issues regarding its legal protection and effective sharing. This study proposes a model for the protection and sharing of bioinformatics data based on blockchain and smart contracts, along with a corresponding legal framework. A large-scale survey of 1,000 research institutions and multi-source data analysis reveal that the application of blockchain significantly enhances data protection and sharing efficiency. The results indicate that after implementing blockchain technology, data access speed improved by 40%, security incidents decreased by 65%, and the number of institutions participating in data sharing increased by 85%. This study provides novel insights and practical guidance for the legal protection and sharing mechanisms of bioinformatics data.
