- Abstract
The intellectual history is a rigorous and open theoretical perspective. Strauss’s “Natural Rights and History” is mixed with many conceptual knots and fragments of experience within the scope of political philosophy. The trap game behinds the transition from “natural justice” to “natural rights” and the examination of the “debate between the past and the present” are the two coordinate anchor points that run through the beginning and end. Meanwhile, the comparison of reflections by historians such as Skinner, the layered dissection of the boundary between nature and customs and the individual insights under the “annotated classic” writing style are the steel mesh eyes that bind Strauss’s work on the intellectual history. Through the rotation and reexamination of the perspective, “Natural Rights and History” has been reexamined and elaborated.
