Welcome to the 2024 International Conference on Social Sciences and Educational Development (ICOSSED 2024). The conference was successfully held during December 21–22, 2024, in Cangzhou, China. ICOSSED 2024 aims to bring together scholars, educators, and policymakers to discuss the dynamic interplay between educational advancements and social sciences. As our world faces unprecedented challenges and transformative changes, the role of education in shaping societies becomes ever more critical.
The conference attracted experts and scholars from many well-known universities, research institutions, and enterprises both domestically and internationally. This seminar not only covered core topics such as educational management, education policy, and educational technology but also included a wide range of disciplines such as psychology, literature, political science, and sociology, showcasing the broad vision and far-reaching impact of interdisciplinary communication. It consists of two parts: oral presentations and speeches by keynote speakers. More than 80 participants attended the meeting, and they were from China, Japan, Singapore, the UK, and more.
In the keynote presentations, we invited two professors as our keynote speakers. The first one, Ruiling Feng, Associate Professor and Master Tutor of Tianjin Normal University, had outstanding research in language education. Her speech topic was: International Collaborative Community for Teaching, Learning, and Research in College English in the ‘Internet+’ Era. The other keynote speaker, Fan Ouyang, Professor of Zhejiang University, presented on The Mechanism of Group Cognitive Development in Online Collaborative Learning.
We are very grateful to the keynote speakers, session chairs, and members of the organizing committee, whose active participation and enthusiastic presentations, as well as the participants’ enthusiasm for networking, made this conference a great success. We are also grateful to all the authors who contributed papers to the conference and whose active contributions ensured its successful conclusion.
