It is a great chance and honour to be a part of The 2nd International Conference on Social Applied Science and Technology in Home Economics or ICONHOMECS 2019 as a scientific asset of the Faculty of Engineering Universitas Negeri Malang. I am honoured to welcome you to Ijen Suite this year to attend the ICONHOMECS organised by the Department of Industrial Technology, Faculty of Engineering.

The 4.0 Industrial Revolution indicating the rampant expansion of digital world and internet has been practiced in various manufacturing sectors, including food and beverage industry, fashion, beauty, and education. This latest evolution of industry has the potency to increase level of income, improve quality of life, and increase efficiency and productivity. It is believed that implementation of Industrial Revolution (RI) 4.0 in Home Economics can brings us to be ready to face disruption innovation in various lines. The ICONHOMECS welcomes participants, especially those who deal with Home Economics area on a daily basis, to present their researches to other researches and audiences.

I would like to think that our conference is not only a place to gather and present the latest researches. The core of a conference is a gathering with the purpose of exchanging ideas on what might work and what might not, adding some values we might not realise from other colleagues. All are in the hope that after the conference is over, we can go back home knowing that we can make a difference, no matter how small.

I am confident that we can raise awareness for the future of our education in the globalised world. Finally, I wish this conference is not only used as a technical forum but also as an opening to new opportunities and platforms to create more collaborations for the future works.
