Abstract

An Open-Source solution based on Pentaho is described in this paper for constructing railway passenger transport marketing assistant decision system as alternative of commercial software, solving the problem of being lack of user custom properties, which will save project costs, and has good expansibility.Furthermore, some key technologies are introduced including ETL design of kettle, cube design and OLAP analysis, reporting and self-customized report plugin,which may lead a deeper research.
