Website: https://icomtech.poltekmfh.ac.id The First International Conference on Medical Technology (ICoMTech 2021) is hosted by Politeknik Medica Farma Husada, Indonesia. The conference, virtually held on May 29–30, 2021, aims to (1) bring together the researchers and practitioners, students, and civil society organization representatives in the scientific forum and (2) share and discuss theoretical and practical knowledge about medical laboratory science, health information management, pharmacy, science technology, and public health. To create a fruitful discussion on the theme of “Strategy and Potential Research on Health Area Related to Pandemic Covid-19”, the conference invited six speakers with reputable expertise, namely (1) Prof. Mohd Nazir Salleh—Deputy of Vice Chancellor (Academic and International) PICOMS International University College, Malaysia, (2) Dr. Slamet, MHP—Chairman of BalitbangKes Republic of Indonesia, Indonesia, (3) Prof. Dr. Aye Aye Khin—Rector University Medical Technology Yangon, Myanmar, (4) Dr. Vu Quang Huy, Ass. Prof., MD, PhD—Dean Faculty, Medical Technology, University Medicine, Vietnam, (5) Anacleta Pring-Valdez, MD, FPSP, MHA, PhD—Chairman Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine Batangan Medical Center, Philippines, and (6) Dr. apt. Sri Hartati Yuliani, M.Si—Lecturer of University of Sanata Dharma, Indonesia. This year’s conference proceedings is going to be proposed for publication to Atlantis Press. There were 158 participants of the conference from five countries (Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Philippine) and 40 of them sent their abstract to the committee. However, after a rigorous reviewing process, only 17 papers were considered for publication submission to the publisher. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all parties involved in the conference such as speakers, partners, sponsors, and, most importantly, committee members (advisory board, scientific committee, and organizing committee).
