Proceedings of the International Conference on Media and Communication Studies (ICOMACS 2018)
It is my great pleasure to welcome all of you to the International Conference on Media and Communication Studies (ICOMACS 2018). This conference is focusing on the phenomenon of rapid communication trends in the glorious era of information. It provides the best meeting opportunities for participants to discuss and share their researches, experiences and future endeaveours. These fields of interest are very relevant and hand-in-hand with the progress in Communication Science in understanding the phenomenon of media culture in Asia. We believe that apart from the scheduled presentations, the interaction of the participants will be valuable, enriching research networking as well as promoting the scientists, practitioners, and communication science developments in this part of the world.
The conference is also part of the 50th anniversary of the university's celebration that held by Department of Communication Studies. All submitted papers had been properly vetted and refereed. Compulsory quality assurance features for the conference include Web based paper submission, plagiarism check, and double-blind review is a procedure that has been undertaken for the papers to be proposed and published in serial indexed proceedings from Thomson Reuters. Other papers (modified version) will be published in Indonesian academic journals.
The venue for conferences, Grand Savoy Homann Bidakara Hotel is located in Bandung, Indonesia, which is famous as one of the historic places of the holding of Asia Africa Conference. Please spend some time after the conference to see and tour surrounding this beautiful and historical city.
I also would like to express my gratitude to the organizing committee members for their strong commitments to ICOMACS 2018. My appreciation goes to all reviewers of ICOMACS 2018 for assisting us in attaining a high standard for papers submitted to the conference proceeding.
