- Abstract
Potassium is one of the three major nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium) necessary for crop growth. Most of the potassium needed for crop growth is mainly provided by potassium fertilizer, which plays an irreplaceable role in promoting the development of food and agricultural production. This paper systematically analyzes the relationship between potassium and agriculture development, the status quo of potassium resources, and the status quo of potassium industry development, and conducts an in-depth analysis of the development of the potash fertilizer industry from two aspects: market demand and guarantee demand, and finally puts forward some suggestions for the sustainable development of potassium resources. Increase the leading role of the government and the comprehensive utilization of salt lake potash mines, strengthen the research and utilization of insoluble potassium resources to produce potash fertilizers, and continue to promote the construction of overseas potash fertilizer base industries in order to meet China’s urgent demand for potash fertilizers in the future.
