Abstract

The paper proposed an algorithm about volume-calculation and weight estimation of coal stack based on image-processing. In this application system, the laser was assembled on the stacker, so that the scanning data can be collected from the laser with the movement parameter of the machine. 3D point cloud of coal stack and yard will be rebuild in the absolute coordinate system, then the point cloud of coal stack will be segmented by image processing method.
