Abstract
The absorption spectra of trans and cis isomers of mercury dithizonate (MD) in doped polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) film are measured, and the photochromic properties of the two isomers are analyzed individually. The experiments indicate that different isomers of MD can convert into each other when irradiated by light of proper wavelength. The nonlinear optical properties of MD are investigated by z-scan method, and the experimental data of nonlinear refractive index is obtained.
