Abstract

In this paper, a new discrete scheme is constructed for nonlinear transient Burgers equation by using the multiple integral finite volume method combined with Lagrange interpolation. The scheme has third order accuracy in space. Of course, higher accuracy can be achieved by adding interpolation nodes. Numerical results show that current method is effective, and compared with others, it shows clear advantage in solution precision.
